Ready? Okay. On June 2, 2023 I made an order on line through what I thought was the actual department store “Kohls” but later found out to be “Kohlss” (extra “s”). Only noticed when 30 days had passed and still no package. Went to my credit card to look for charge and found that the charge had been made to HK Richard Group Co LTD Dublin IL not “Kohlss.” I contacted the e-mail that had sent me the acknowledgement of my order “[email protected]” and was first told that their records showed their delivery service TRACK678 showed same had been delivered. Back and forth insisting package had not been delivered before they first offered to re-send me my order, then when I requested a refund instead they started bartering with me trying to get me to accept 50%, then 70%, then 90% before finally agreeing on the full refund of $36.98. Told me the refund had been applied for and that it would be forthcoming in 15-25 business days. Today is now October 8, 2023 and it has been a total of 88 days and 38 exchanged e-mails between us and still I have got nothing but empty promises, stories of how the refund had been applied but the transaction didn’t go through, etc. Today I looked up HK Richard Group Co LTD Dublin IL and found that it was a high risk, scam company. Since my purchase was with what I thought was “Kohls” I only found this name on my charge account when I went looking for the original purchase so I had no idea I was dealing with this company. Then today also I found the original receipt for order and it provided 2 links ‘ Check Order Detail” and “View our Store.” When I clicked on these links BOTH came back as “SORRY，THE SHOP YOU ARE LOOKING IS CLOSED RIGHT NOW,
PLEASE TRY AGAIN LATER.” So obviously “Kohlss” is a scam company and by the fact that the charge was made in the name of HK Richard Group Co LTD Dublin IL that makes them a scammer also. I say avoid at all costs but because the company that made the actual charge is different from the one the customer assumes they are buying from it’s hard to distinguish this until it’s too late.
