Well, before we start with our WFG review (World Financial Group review) and point you out either is a World Financial Group scam or not, first of all, we want to make you clear that we don't recommend this company due to the unethical way of promoting this company by its representatives and also due to the difficulty to make a decent income according to the time and effort that you need to put in this company.

Lots of people have joined this company thinking to get a job by submitting the resume and taking an interview but at the end of that interview, they are offered a position and they have to pay a fee to become an independent representative. This company does not have a job for you. But also lots of big promoters promoting this company as a place to get the job but in reality, it is not the place where people can get a job by doing an interview and submitting a review. So, this kind of false marketing scheme makes us list this company in our Not Recommended sites category.

Yes, we know the fact that it's not the company's fault but the representatives who are promoting this company in an unethical way. But how can the company ignore such things and let that happen? It's the duty of the company to stop such bad presentation of their company. If some company doesn't care about such stuff, better we also don't care about that company.

WFG (World Financial Group) is a multi-level marketing company from Johns Creek, Georgia, USA which sells the various investment, insurance, and financial products through a network of members (distributors). They are currently operating in United Staes, Puerto Rico and Canada. So, the members of WFG can earn commission by selling the products by recruiting people. Following are the product line of WFG:-

However, promoting this company by saying it is a place to get the job instead of the place to do some business like selling products and earn commission, we feel that is unethical marketing practice. However, we have found that kind of promotion is not done by the company itself but by the top promoters to recruit people. But, if the company can't stop such false marketing from their own members, then it's better to stay away from that company. That's why we don't recommend WFG.

Well, we will not call World Financial Group (WFG) a scam because it is paying its members as per its claim. But, we don't recommend it because most of the promoters are completely doing false marketing to trick people to join this company and it is also very difficult to make a decent income from this company.

Actually, this company was founded by Huber Humphrey as World Marketing Alliance (WMA) back in 1991.

In 1998, WMA opened their office in 100,000 square foot building with 500 employees. However, same year WMA was fined $100,000 for not properly supervising their sales agents after their clients lost nearly two million USD in unregistered investments. That didn't stop there. WMA was again fined for another $125,000 for not reporting the lots of customer complaints. Later on, in 2001, WMA was purchased by AEGON and renamed the company as World Financial Group (WFG). After that, they start to progress in a good way and succeed to establish over 3500 offices alone in the United States. Although they didn't start in a good way, it seems now they are doing OK.

However, still, we have found many promoters who are doing false marketing and letting people join this company in the hope of getting the job which is not the reality. Back in 1998, they were fined for not properly supervising their sales agents and once again it seems it is having the same scenario. So, if it can't stop such false marketing practice, it can have legal issues again. Actually, we believe that the company should take care of such false marketing schemes if they want to run their business smoothly otherwise they will again trap with lots of complaints and penalty once again. This is the reason why we don't recommend WFG at the moment.

Aforementioned, WFG is a company where you get paid by selling the products of the companies they represent. However, WFG representatives are marketing it as the job boards and bringing in people for job interviews whereas, in reality, WFG doesn't offer any jobs.

You can find the bunch of complaints about WFG promoter's unethical practice of promoting WFG. For example, you can find people are complaining around the internet that WFG's representatives find your information from your resume posted online and will call you for the job interview and will lie you that they have a position available in the field of job that you are looking for. Later on, you will receive a call from their so-called financial adviser and he/she will talk to you and will try to convince you to be your own boss by recruiting people and form a team and then they will hire you. They will also ask for your financial details by making you believe that they will provide you with some financial advice for free like they are doing some favor on you.

Yes, we agree that every company has complaints. If the volume of these kinds of complaints is negligible, then we will also don't care about it at all. But, we can find the bunch of such kinds of complaints due to which we can conclude that lots of members of WFG are marketing it as the platform to do the job.

If the company care about their customers, they should immediately take action against such marketing practice but it seems WFG is just enjoying the new customers coming into their company with whatever promotion campaigns. Even the company has already fined for not properly supervising their sales agents and still it seems the company doesn't care about that at all.

We are not saying they are not legal but we are bothered by their unethical practices to make people come to their meetings by tricking them to believe that as a job interview. Telling innocent people that they have the job available for them in the same position which they are looking for and making them join in their MLM business plan is definitely an illegal "Bait and Switch" tactics. So, from our side we don't recommend it, however, if you still think this unethical marketing practice is digestible for you, then you can definitely join this MLM opportunity.

The administration fee is $100. However, it can cost you around $500 to $1000 in the name of exam materials, exam fees, registration fees, and other educational costs to become fully licensed to sell all products and services provided by WFG. So, you have to spend hundreds of dollars in this company before even you make some cents and you never know you can succeed with this MLM business plan or not because it is very hard to make money from MLM companies as the competition will be very high due to many members selling the same products of same company.

There is also a $30 Life Licensed, $100 registered rep, $125 investment adviser. Their life insurance policy is about $200 per month. Trust us, you no need to spend such amount of money to make money online.

Aforementioned, we already made you clear that we don't recommend WFG for its unethical practice of making people join this company. Even it was fined $100,000 for not properly supervising its sales agents. Its representative also has faced a lawsuit. SEC sued five WFG representatives in 2008 for fraudulently selling unsuitable securities. The name of those five representatives is Angel Romo, Guillermo Haro, Jesus Gutierrez, Gabriel Paredes and Kederio Ainsworth. – Source SEC Lawsuit

We believe the good company always should take care of what their representatives are doing to avoid any dispute against the company. But, we can still find out lots of representatives marketing this company with false promise. So, we don't recommend such company which can't take care of their representatives for promoting their product in an unethical way even when they have already faced lawsuits in the past.

Another reason we don't recommend this company is due to the earnings that you can make according to the time and effort you need to put in this company. The product line of this company is very difficult to sell and the way members are lying to promote the products of this company make us sure it is very difficult to sell the products of this company. If it was easy to sell, then the members of this company no need to lie to people to make them join this company. So, their unethical marketing practice itself proof that it is very difficult to make money from this company. If you make your own website, you can make money even without selling anything and recruiting anyone, just by placing the advertisements of the companies like Google Adsense.

These days you no need to have any technical knowledge to make the website. It's very easy to make websites these days.
