What is the motive behind these kinds of scam messages?
Scammers send these kinds of phishing messages to make you believe that you have won some big prize or money so that they can trick you into submitting your personal and financial details to them which they will use to steal your money.
These kinds of scammers always ask you to contact them and when you do that, they will, first of all, ask your personal as well as financial details such as your name, ID number, bank details and so on. If you provide them your credit card details, then they will just use that to steal your money. Otherwise, they will ask you to send some money to pay the fees to release your prize amount. So, if you ever find out any lottery program which asks you to pay the money first in order to get your winning amount, then you must know that is a scam since none of the legit lottery programs will ask you to pay the fees first to get the winning prize. Instead, they will cut the necessary fees from your winning amount and give you the remaining balance.
These kinds of cybercriminals will also make money by selling your personal information to the third parties. So never ever provide your credit card information to these kinds of scammers. Actually, you should not respond to any such messages.
